The INCH Power Rankings return with moderate changes since we last published in mid-December. Denver, Rensselaer and Michigan made big strides forward, while Nebraska-Omaha, Maine and Union slid down the order.

Here's how the Inside College Hockey editors and staff rank the nation's top teams (along with a note for each team).

Yale's 10-3 win over Holy Cross included hat tricks from Kenny Agostino and Broc Little. Agostino's third goal came with 3:32 remaining in the second period. Hope some fans saved their lids to adorn the ice when Little polished off his hatty in the third period.

3. New Hampshire

UNH and St. Lawrence usually play every season. They didn't meet last year and it was good news for the Wildcats, who saw the Saints win their third straight in the series Sunday with a 2-1 overtime victory.

Brian Gibbons had a goal and two assists as the Eagles rallied for a win over Colgate in the opening game, then scored twice as BC won the title against Mercyhurst at the Ledyard Bank Classic, hosted by Dartmouth.

Great Lakes Invitational MVP Luke Glendenning, who entered the tourney with two goals in 19 games this season, netted three goals in the Wolverines’ wins against Michigan Tech and Colorado College last week.

Merrimack leads all Hockey East teams with just 2.12 goals allowed per game. Their recipe is to maintain an early lead, as the Warriors have scored just 12 third-period goals in 17 games this year.

18. Robert Morris
Robert Morris got in on the hoopla surrounding the NHL's Winter Classic with an outdoor practice last week. The Colonials then hosted RIT at the Penguins' CONSOL Energy Center and drew about 7,000 fans.
