11 Lies Overheard at the Frozen Four in Washington, D.C.

• "Are there any points of interest I should see in this town?"

• "My parents went to Washington, D.C. and all I got was this lousy Bemidji State t-shirt."

• "I can't tell if there are more photographers on the ice or at the Washington Monument."

• "Sure, Gilroy's a little older than the average college senior, but that's his brother on the team, not his son."

• "Coach Parker took those back-to-back timeouts because he wanted to call Scott Sandelin and Dick Umile about a comeback strategy."

• "That public address announcer has a soothing voice."

• "These sidewalk cutouts are probably very useful for helping people get around safely."

• "Is Kenny Perry wearing a RedHawk visor?"

• "It's nice to win the national title in overtime after rallying from a two-goal deficit in the last minute of regulation ... but it's no Beanpot."

• "What was the name of that green team that played BU the other night? Packers?"

• "This would be way better if there were a couple of WCHA teams here."
