The
Dean's Take |

Brian Elliott
Wisconsin |
He has really proven himself and his importance to
the team. Coming back the way he did from his injury
was very impressive, and he got this team back to where
it could be in this position. This is a well deserved
honor for Elliott. |

Tom Gilbert
Wisconsin |
Gilbert anchors that defensive corps, but the most
important thing tonight was scoring a great power-play
goal to win the game. That's probably just an added
bonus in terms of him making the All-Tournament Team,
but to score a goal like that as a senior and captain
of your team, there's no better way to finish your career. |

Brett Motherwell
Boston College |
Freshmen defensemen aren't a liability when they play
as well as Motherwell did for Boston College this weekend.
He was very solid. |

Robbie Earl
Wisconsin
Most Outstanding Player |
He's scored some big goals for the Badgers, and he
did it throughout the playoffs and certainly here in
Milwaukee. He's got great skill and displayed that in
the semifinals and again tonight, bouncing back to score
after it looked like he was hurt. |

Adam Burish
Wisconsin |
He's a big, strong guy who controls play in the corners,
and he certainly displayed that this weekend. And I've
got to assume that Coach Eaves was please with his leadership
throughout the season. |

Chris Collins
Boston College |
Having not seen him throughout the season, I was impressed
with what he showed here. He's certainly the type of
forward who could play for any team in the country.
He's quick, has great ability, and has that disease
that's so rare – he scores goals. |
