The
Dean's Take
G
John Muse Boston College
You've got to give him a lot of credit, as young as
he is, the way he came through. He showed great poise,
patience and presence in the net, and he certainly led
his team.
D
Mike Brennan
Boston College
I've liked him every time I've seen Boston College
play. He moves the puck well and sees the ice well,
and those are two of the most important traits you look
for in defensemen.
D
Kyle Lawson Notre Dame
I sat behind him for two periods. He's a big, steady,
strong defenseman and definitely the kind of kid you
want to anchor your defense. I also liked what he does
killing penalties.
F
Kevin Deeth
Notre Dame
I really liked his presence. He seemed to be around
the puck all the time in both games, and that's something
you really want is somebody who's on the puck all the
time.
F
Ben Smith Boston College
He is a very solid player who knows his role in the
offensive scheme and plays it perfectly. I liked the
way he and Gerbe worked together out there. You could
see real hockey chemistry.
F
Nathan Gerbe Boston College
Most Outstanding Player
Brian Gionta reincarnated. The toughest thing for
Notre Dame, and you heard this in the crowd, was that
he didn't win the Hobey, because that just gave him
more incentive. He's going to be a good player on the
next level. His size shouldn't matter when you play
with that kind of heart.
