Playoff time is here – at least in the ECACHL – but the other leagues seem to be following suit. You've got marquee matchups in Hockey East and the WCHA to decide titles, and the championships are up for grabs in Atlantic Hockey, the CHA and the CCHA.

The real playoffs begin with the NCAA Tournament. We examine that in our latest installment of INCH 4x4, which projects what we think the field might look like once the season ends.

Here's how the Inside College Hockey editors and staff rank the nation's top teams (along with movement since last week and a note for each team).

No. Team

Of Note
1. Cornell What defensive reputation? Only Harvard and Dartmouth scored more goals in ECACHL play than Cornell.
22-4-3 (18-2-2 ECACHL). LAST WEEK: W at St. Lawrence, 3-2 ot; W at Clarkson, 3-0. THIS WEEK: Off.
2. Colorado College 1 A home win on Thursday and the Tigers clinch at least a share of their second WCHA title in the past three seasons. Oh, and the Gold Pan is at stake this weekend too.
25-6-3 (18-6-2 WCHA). LAST WEEK: Off. THIS WEEK: vs. Denver, at Denver.
3. Denver 1 Southern Minny Blues: Pioneers have surrendered eight goals in a game on their last two trips to Mankato.
23-8-2 (18-6-2 WCHA). LAST WEEK: L at Minnesota State, 8-5; W at Minnesota State, 5-2. THIS WEEK: at Colorado College, vs. Colorado College.
4. Boston College 1 The Hampton tolls hardly seem like a bother when you win at UNH, as BC did for the first time in seven years Saturday night.
20-6-6 (13-3-6 Hockey East). LAST WEEK: T vs. New Hampshire, 3-3 ot; W at New Hampshire, 5-2. THIS WEEK: vs. Maine, vs. Maine.
5. Michigan 1 Nine Wolverines play their final regular-season home game at Yost Arena Saturday, the largest gathering of seniors since the wrap party for "Grumpy Old Men."
24-7-3 (21-3-2 CCHA). LAST WEEK: W vs. U.S. Under-18 Team, 6-5 (Ex.). THIS WEEK: at Bowling Green, vs. Bowling Green.
6. Ohio State 2 Saturday's game against Miami is the Buckeyes' first home match in 21 days. Which is about the same time it takes Maurice Clarett to run a half-dozen 40's.
23-8-3 (20-5-1 CCHA). LAST WEEK: Off. THIS WEEK: at Miami, vs. Miami.
7. New Hampshire My Friend Flicka: Jacob Micflikier enters the final weekend with a one-length – er, one-point – lead in the Hockey East scoring race.
22-8-4 (15-4-3 Hockey East). LAST WEEK: T at Boston College, 3-3 ot; L vs. Boston College, 5-2. THIS WEEK: at Boston University, vs. Boston University.
8. Wisconsin 4 Badgers head to the DECC needing two points to clinch third place. Having gone 1-4-2 in the last seven, standings aren't the only reason that Bucky needs a win.
21-10-3 (16-8-2 WCHA). LAST WEEK: L at North Dakota, 4-2; T at North Dakota, 1-1 ot. THIS WEEK: at Minnesota Duluth, at Minnesota Duluth.
9. Minnesota 4 Doug Woog will be in the pressbox working for Fox Sports North this weekend when the Gophers visit Houghton. The last time Minnesota lost a game there, in 1998, Woog was behind the visitors' bench.
22-12-1 (15-10-1 WCHA). LAST WEEK: W vs. St. Cloud State, 5-4; W at St. Cloud State, 4-1. THIS WEEK: at Michigan Tech, at Michigan Tech.
10. Harvard Hard to believe it's true, but Dov Grumet-Morris's .948 save percentage and 1.58 goals-against average will only be good enough to get second-team All-ECACHL.
18-8-3 (15-5-2 ECACHL). LAST WEEK: W vs. Brown, 3-0; L at Dartmouth, 2-1 ot; T at Vermont, 2-2 ot. THIS WEEK: Off.
11. Boston University 1 If the Terriers were going to play Northeastern three times in February and only win one, you don't have to ask which one they'd choose.
20-11-3 (14-5-3 Hockey East). LAST WEEK: T at Northeastern, 2-2 ot; L vs. Northeastern, 2-1. THIS WEEK: vs. New Hampshire, at New Hampshire.
12. Maine 2 Go-ahead goal in the second game of Maine's sweep of UMass Lowell came at 19:59 of the second period ... shorthanded.
18-10-6 (13-5-4 Hockey East). LAST WEEK: W vs. UMass Lowell, 2-0; W vs. UMass Lowell, 5-3. THIS WEEK: at Boston College, at Boston College.
13. UMass Lowell 4 After two losses in Orono, travel time isn't the only reason the River Hawks don't want to see Maine in Hockey East's first round.
19-9-4 (10-9-3 Hockey East). LAST WEEK: L at Maine, 2-0; L at Maine, 5-3. THIS WEEK: at Merrimack, vs. Providence.
14. Colgate 3

Slow starters: Trailed 2-0 to St. Lawrence after just 48 seconds in Saturday's game.

22-9-3 (14-5-3 ECACHL). LAST WEEK: T at Clarkson, 3-3 ot; L at St. Lawrence, 5-3. THIS WEEK: Off.
15. Dartmouth Two wins weren't enough for a playoff bye, but were a big step toward getting the Big Green into the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1980.
17-10-2 (14-8-0 ECACHL). LAST WEEK: W vs. Harvard, 2-1 ot; W vs. Brown, 6-2. THIS WEEK: vs. Yale (best-of-three series).
16. Vermont Welcome back Scott Mifsud. Team's leading scorer broke out of mini-slump with three goals and an assist as Cats clinch fourth in ECACHL.
19-11-4 (13-6-3 ECACHL). LAST WEEK: W vs. Brown, 2-1; T vs. Harvard, 2-2 ot. THIS WEEK: Off.
17. Northern Michigan Dirk Southern had a goal and four assists Saturday, yet was named the game's second star. That's because linemate Andrew Contois pumped in four goals in the 6-3 romp.
18-9-7 (15-7-4 CCHA). LAST WEEK: W at Ferris State, 5-2; W at Ferris State, 6-3. THIS WEEK: at Lake Superior State, vs. Lake Superior State.
18. North Dakota Afternoon delight: The ND state high school hockey tournament forced the Sioux to play Bucky on Saturday and Sunday at 3:30 p.m. The result is North Dakota's first WCHA series without a loss in three months.
17-13-4 (12-12-2 WCHA). LAST WEEK: W vs. Wisconsin, 4-2; T vs. Wisconsin, 1-1 ot. THIS WEEK: at St. Cloud State, at St. Cloud State.
19. Quinnipiac NR Five weeks ago they were 6-10-3 and the only thing keeping them in the Atlantic Hockey race was the fact that they hadn't left the league yet. The Bobcats are 11-2-0 since with a three-point lead in the standings.
17-12-3 (14-6-2 Atlantic Hockey). LAST WEEK: W at American International, 3-2; W vs. Sacred Heart, 5-3; W at Sacred Heart, 5-3. THIS WEEK: at Connecticut, vs. American International.

17-13-4 (13-11-4 CCHA). LAST WEEK: L vs. Alaska-Fairbanks, 6-4; W vs. Alaska-Fairbanks, 7-2. THIS WEEK: vs. Minnesota State, at Minnesota State.

Dropped out: Bemidji State

Bubble-licious: Bowling Green, Alabama-Huntsville, Bemidji State
