HUGH JESSIMAN
Dartmouth

2002-03 Statistics: 34 GP, 23-24—47, 48 PIM

Central Scouting: 20th among North American skaters
The Hockey News: 22nd

Background: A relative unknown coming out of an unheralded high school program, Jessiman made huge strides during an impressive freshman year at Dartmouth.

Scout's Take: "He’s a good player. He’s one of those guys where you have to respect how far he’s come.

"I love his size, I love his potential, but I don’t necessarily love his background – and by that I don’t mean his family or anything like that, but his hockey background. But he’s certainly developing and beginning to fulfill his potential right now.

"He could have huge potential, or he could be a bust. He’s a big, strong, gangly, lanky kid who’s always been a good player. All of a sudden he’s grown up and fulfilled that potential. Is this kid for real? We’ll see, but he’s a first-round player for sure."

Projection: First round

"Scout's Take" is Inside College Hockey's exclusive evaluation of the player from one or more NHL scouts. Scouts were granted anonymity in exchange for their candor.
