Hear from former college stars on Inside College Hockey's Alumni Audio with Billy Jaffe. Guests take time out of their NHL schedules to reflect on their college experience, and how it prepared them for a career in the show.

Jaffe, in his fourth season as a member of the Atlanta Thrashers' broadcast team, has a wealth of college hockey experience as a player at Michigan, an on-ice official in the CCHA and a broadcaster for Fox Sports Net. He is also an analyst on CSTV's Friday Night Hockey.

Formerly an analyst for Fox Sports Net's CCHA Game of the Week, Jaffe served as the color commentator for the network's Emmy Award-winning broadcast of the Cold War game between Michigan and Michigan State at Spartan Stadium, Oct. 6, 2001.

Steve McKenna, Merrimack/Pittsburgh Penguins
Now in his seventh pro season, Steve McKenna has posted a career-high nine goals to go along with his triple-digit penalty minute totals. Steve Martins, Harvard/Ottawa Senators
At Harvard, Steve Martins won a Beanpot, earned first-team All-America honors and led the Crimson to their most recent Frozen Four appearance. Now with the Ottawa Senators in his eighth year as a pro, he tells Billy Jaffe that his time at Harvard was four years with no regrets, and calls them the most important developmental step in his hockey career.

Scott Pellerin, Maine/Phoenix Coyotes
Scott Pellerin posted at least 48 points in each of his four fantastic seasons at Maine, earning the Hobey Baker Award as a senior in 1992. His 11-year pro career has taken him to seven NHL cities, including Dallas and Phoenix this year. In our latest installment of Alumni Audio, Billy Jaffe caught up with Pellerin just before he was swapped to the Coyotes.

Brian Wiseman, Michigan/Dallas Stars
After a career during which he racked up 248 points and All-American honors in 1994, Brian Wiseman found the road to the NHL filled with obstacles. Even though his playing days are over, Wiseman has earned a spot with the Dallas Stars. Don Waddell, Northern Michigan/Atlanta Thrashers
Not only was Don Waddell part of Northern Michigan's first team under then-head coach Rick Comley, he scored the first goal in Wildcat history. Brian Rolston, Lake Superior State/Boston Bruins

Brian Rolston enjoyed his finest season as a pro in 2001-02, collecting 31 goals for the Boston Bruins and winning a silver medal with Team USA at the Olympic Winter Games. In this edition of Alumni Audio, Rolston recalls his experience at Lake Superior State, where he was part of the 1992 NCAA championship team, and discusses the decision to go to college instead of major juniors.
